Lot # 2660: 1980-1981 Topps Basketball Complete Set on Two Uncut Sheets with Two Larry Bird and Magic Johnson Rookies

Pair of uncut sheets from the 1980-1981 Topps Basketball set, highlighted by the double-printed three-player rookie card of Hall of Famers Larry Bird and Magic Johnson alongside Julius Erving. This card is one of the most important of all basketball cards ever produced, as it features three players named to the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History" list, two of whom appear for the first time ever on a Topps card. These two sheets represent a complete 176-card set plus 88 duplicates. Each sheet is arranged in eleven rows of twelve cards. The 1980-1981 Topps Basketball set is designed in trifold style so that each card features three individual player sections. Normal wear is visible along the edges and at the corners, extremely common on large uncut sheets like this. The sheets also display small edge tears and scattered creasing. Please note there is a 20-1/2 inch split in the perforations along one of the sheets. Dimensions: 28-3/8 by 43 inches.
