Lot # 2494: 1952 Bowman Small Football #144 Jim Lansford Rookie Blank-Back Proof Card

Extremely rare unissued blank-back proof card from the 1952 Bowman Small football issue featuring Jim Lansford (card #144) of the University of Texas. The offered card is a blank-back version of the final-issue card. Hand-cut (by definition, as this card had to have been cut from a proof sheet), otherwise in apparent Near Mint condition. There is a stain along the top edge of the reverse. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC. This is an extremely unusual Bowman football rarity that would be very much at home in even the most advanced Bowman or proof-card collection.
