One of card collecting's classics, Mantle's Bowman rookie card is the key to the 1951 set and one of the most popular of all postwar baseball cards. This example has bright colors, a crisp image, and honest corner wear. Mainly clean with no distracting print lines that are commonly found with this card. Boldly printed reverse without even the slightest trace of the gum or wax staining that so frequently affects 1951 Bowmans. A small wrinkle is visible along the lower portion of the reverse.
