Lot # 85: 1888 N173 Old Judge Cabinet Tim Keefe

1888 N173 Goodwin Old Judge cabinet card of Hall of Famer Tim Keefe of the New York Giants in a throwing pose (#251-2). All Old Judge cabinets are extremely desirable, especially those of Hall of Famers. Tim Keefe, of course, is one of the most prominent of all nineteenth-century Hall of Famers, with 342 lifetime wins during his 14-year Major League career (1880-1893). The image on this card is bold with spectacular contrast making this a stunning card. The blank reverse is clean. Encapsulated as Authentic/Altered by SGC (possibly due to erased ink/pencil along the top edge of reverse). This is still a very striking and attractive Hall of Famer example from one of the nineteenth century's most revered sets.
