Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. Mid-grade example of Hall of Famer Buck Ewing (New York Giants) from the large-size N43 Allen & Ginter "World's Champions" series. The N43 series, the rarest of the three Allen & Ginter "Champions" sets, features the same subjects and designs as the smaller N29 second series Allen & Ginters but in a larger format and with extra background artwork added to each card's design. Measuring approximately 3 x 3.25 inches, the N43 Allen & Ginters are widely recognized as one of the most attractive sets ever issued. Ewing is the key card from the set. This example displays vibrant colors, outstanding image clarity, and honest corner wear. Boldly printed reverse. A vertical crease on the lower-left quadrant and a small spot of paper loss near the upper-left corner factor into the assigned grade. This is a solid mid-grade example of this key pre-1900 rarity that would be a significant addition to any advanced prewar-card or Hall of Fame collection.
