Graded VG 3 by PSA. Outstanding mid-grade example of Hall of Famer Howie Morenz from the extremely rare 1933-1934 V288 Hamilton Gum hockey series. The offered example is well centered, with bright colors, a flawless image, and even corner wear. The back is clean with very bold print in both English and French. Unlike baseball's most significant vintage sets, such as T206 and 1933 Goudey, which are widely known throughout the collecting world, hockey's great rarities and earliest issues are relatively unknown, except by veteran hockey-card collectors. This is a very attractive mid-grade example of Howie Morenz, one of the key Hall of Famers from this classic 1930s hockey gum-card series.
