Presented is a near-complete low-number run (#1-310) from the classic 1952 Topps series. The low-number run is highlighted by 17 Hall of Famers, including Yogi Berra, Bob Feller, Warren Spahn, and Duke Snider. Missing the following four cards for completion: #175 Martin, 180, 261 Mays, and 296. Cards #1-80 include forty-four black back variations. Condition is 17% Vg-Ex to Ex (including a couple better), 60% Gd to Vg, and 23% Pr to Fr (including one with color added). Nine cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys (#1-310): #1 Pafko (GOOD+ 2.5), 2 Runnels (Gd), 11 Rizzuto (Pr), 20 Loes RC (Gd, black back), 22 DiMaggio (Vg-Ex+), 26 Irvin (90/10 L/R, otherwise Vg, black back), 29 Kluszewski (Gd+), 33 Spahn (Fr, black back), 36 Hodges (Gd, black back), 37 Snider (Pr, black back), 48b Page/correct (Vg), 49b Sain/correct (Fr), 57 Lopat (Gd, black back), 59 Roberts (GOOD 2), 65 Slaughter (Fr, black back), 66 Roe (NM 7 [MK], black back), 67 Reynolds (GOOD 2), 88 Feller (Pr-Fr), 91 Schoendienst (Fr-Gd), 122 Jensen (Vg), 129 Mize (Gd), 191 Berra (Pr), 195 Minoso RC (Pr), 215 Bauer (Gd+), 216 Ashburn (Pr), 227 Garagiola (Vg), 243 Doby (rubber-stamp on reverse, otherwise Gd), 246 Kell (Pr-Fr), 250 Erskine (GOOD 2), 268 Lemon (Gd), and 277 Wynn (Vg-Ex). Four additional PSA-graded cards: #15 (GOOD+ 2.5), 35 (EX 5), 52 (VG-EX 4, black back), and 276 (EX 5). This is a very attractive mixed-grade near-complete low-number run of 1952 Topps, one of card collecting’s most popular classics, and representing a very substantial start toward a complete set. Total: 306 cards.
