Graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. Presented is an incredible example of one of modern-card collecting's most prized rookie cards: Chipper Jones' card from the 1991 Desert Shield set. Topps produced the 1991 Desert Shield set at the same time it produced its regular set in 1991 but with the special purpose of distributing the cards to members of the military stationed in the Middle East as part of Operation Desert Shield. The cards, differentiated from regular-issue cards by a gold foil stamp on the card front, caused quite a frenzy upon their release (reportedly limited to 6,500 sets) as cards were scattered across the world, but many did wind up in the hands of collectors. A spectacular example worthy of an advanced collection of important modern cards or Hall of Fame rookie cards.
