Presented is a partially complete 1951 Topps "Red Backs" set consisting of thirty-one different cards (of the 52 in the set), entirely graded and encapsulated MINT 9 by PSA. The landmark "Red Backs" set is extremely significant as this was one of the first major baseball card sets ever issued by Topps, along with the similarly styled "Blue Backs" set. Keys: #6 Reynolds, 8 Wynn, 38 Snider, and 50 Irvin. Missing the following twenty-one cards for completion: #1 Berra, 2, 4, 5 Rizzuto, 10, 15 Kiner, 20 D. DiMaggio, 22 Feller, 26, 29, 30 Spahn, 31 Hodges, 33, 35, 36 Zernial, 37, 39 Kluszewski, 40, 45, 49, and 52 Holmes. This is a very attractive high-grade partially complete set. The 1951 "Red Backs" set is among the most significant yet overlooked of all early Topps cards, and in our opinion represents an extraordinary value. Total: 31 cards.
