Lot # 1996: 1975-1976 Topps Basketball Near-Complete Unopened Wax Box (28/36 Packs)

Collection of twenty-eight unopened wax packs (out of thirty-six) plus an original display box from the 1975-1976 Topps Basketball set. This collection originates from a former Topps employee, which is ideally evidenced by a small label affixed on the side of the display box listing the production dates and shifts during which these rolled off the production line. Each of the twenty-eight packs contains ten cards and displays bold colors and a tight seal. The 1975-1976 Topps set includes the rookie cards of Hall of Famers Moses Malone and Jamaal Wilkes, as well as cards of Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pete Maravich, and Wilt Chamberlain among others. Steve Hart of the Baseball Card Exchange (the leading authority on unopened material) has personally reviewed these packs, and in his opinion, they are original and unopened. The display box has light wear along the edges. The colors remain bold, and it presents as Excellent overall. This is a desirable collection of packs from this classic basketball set.
