Collection of two rare and unusual baseball sets, both related and both issued by the American Nut & Chocolate Co. of Boston, Mass., in 1950. 1) Team Felt Pennants complete set (16): These mini felt pennants (1-7/8 x 4 inches) were distributed in boxes of "Double Play" candy. Inserted in each box of candy was a pennant and button. The set features all sixteen different teams with each pennant displaying a team name and logo. Condition ranges from Fr to Ex (averaging Vg), with a few displaying tiny pinholes and one with glue residue on the reverse. 2) Team Pins complete set (16): The pins (1-1/8 inch diameter) were distributed in boxes of "Double Play" candy. Inserted in each box of candy were a button and pennant. Each pin features a team name and logo. Overall condition is Very Good to Excellent. 3) Baseball Player Felt Pennants (2): Keller (Fr due to tiny pinholes) and Rizzuto (Vg). These mini felt pennants (1-7/8 x 4 inches) were sold by the company as a set of 22 for 50 cents. The pennants are line-drawings of individual players with a facsimile autograph. The American League players are printed in blue, and the National League players are printed in red. Also included are two redemption cards; one for the baseball player felt pennants (Vg) and a second card for an earlier American Nut & Chocolate series of larger (4 x 9 inches) team pennants (Fr). An attractive collection of rarely seen items issued by the American Nut & Chocolate Co. in 1950. Total: 36 items (set of 16 pennants, set of 16 pins, two player pennants, and two redemption cards). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
