Lot # 1299: 1958 Topps Contest Card July 8 All-Star Game PSA NM-MT 8

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Superb high-grade example of the Contest (All-Star Game, July 8) insert card from the 1958 Topps set. This card advertised a contest program in which collectors could enter by guessing the correct results of the All-Star game and sending in one bubble-gum wrapper. It was rare for a youngster to intentionally save this card at all as it did not feature a ballplayer from the 1958 Topps series; the fact that this example has survived in such high grade is all the more remarkable. Bright, crisp, and clean, front and back, with bold colors and strong corners. This card has always been a special challenge for a serious Topps completest. An outstanding addition to any complete master set of 1958 Topps baseball cards.
