Lot # 78: 1888 N173 Old Judge Cabinet Hardy Richardson PSA VG-EX+ 4.5 - The Only PSA-Graded Example!

Graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA. This is the ONLY example ever graded by PSA! 1889 N173 Old Judge cabinet card featuring Hardy Richardson (#384-1 pose) dating from his playing days as outfielder with the Boston Nationals. The image on this card is bold with strong contrast and tremendous detail. It is interesting to note that although Richardson is identified with Boston along the base, he pictured in his Detroit Wolverines uniform from the prior year. The blank reverse shows a small indentation on the right edge, which protrudes to the front of the card. This is an outstanding example from one of the most revered and substantial of all nineteenth-century baseball-card issues.
