The N300 Mayo's Cut Plug of Hall of Fame pitcher Amos Rusie from the New York Giants of the National League was issued in two variations in the Mayo set, with his name spelled correctly and with his name misspelled "Russie." This is the variation with the correct spelling. The offered card has a strong image of Rusie. Graded FAIR 20 by SGC, condition issues include rounded corners with a chipped lower-left, heavy creasing, and a spot of paper residue on his uniform. Despite the condition issues, this remains a presentable example of one of the most important Hall of Famers in the Mayo set and one of Amos Rusie’s classic cards, dating from the height of his career.
