Lot # 1551: 1968 Topps #150 Roberto Clemente PSA MINT 9

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Only five examples grade higher out of 5,849 cards evaluated by PSA to date. Tremendous example of Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente from the 1968 Topps set. The offered card boasts superb image quality, no chipping whatsoever to the "grain" borders, sharp corners, and excellent centering. Clean reverse. 1968 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including print defects and a tendency to easily wear along the borders, which make MINT examples particularly difficult to find. This is an essentially flawless example of one of Clemente's classic cards, far exceeding the expectations for 1968 Topps.
