Presented is a complete set of the 1973 Topps series consisting of 660 different cards. The rookie cards of Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt and Rich Gossage, as well as the final cards of Roberto Clemente and Willie Mays, highlight the 1973 Topps issue, one of the most popular sets of the 1970s. The O-Pee-Chee edition of card #588 Checklist stands in as a replacement for the Topps version. Condition is 10% Nr/Mt or better, 36% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 54% Vg to Vg-Ex (including 5% lesser). Keys: #1 Ruth/Mays/Aaron (0/100 T/B, otherwise Vg), 50 Clemente (Ex), 80 Oliva (Nr/Mt), 100 Aaron (Vg-Ex), 130 Rose (15/85 L/R, otherwise Ex), 142 Munson (Nr/Mt), 174 Gossage RC (Vg-Ex+), 193 Fisk (Vg-Ex+), 220 Ryan (Vg), 280 Kaline (Ex+), 305 Mays (Vg-Ex), 380 Bench (Ex), 588 Checklist (Pr due to partially erased pencil marks), 614 Evans RC (Gd due to stain), and 615 Schmidt RC (PSA VG 3). Also included are the following eight team checklists: Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, California Angels, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, New York Yankees, and San Francisco Giants. Checklists grade Pr due mostly to pen/pencil marks on reverse. Total: 668 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
