Lot # 2396: 1955 Armour Coins Yellow Complete Set (24 Coins)

Extremely attractive complete set of 1955 Armour Coins (yellow). This unusual 24-coin set is highlighted by seven Hall of Famers, including Yogi Berra and Mickey Mantle. Issued one coin per package of Armour hot dogs, these plastic coins featured a raised bust of the player on front with the player name at top and team name at the bottom. The reverse features biographic and statistical information. The coins were available in a number of different colors, and the offered set features coins in yellow. All coins are bright and clean, grading Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, including two lesser due to cracks. Key: Mantle (Nr/Mt-Mt). This is a superb complete set of these popular coins. Total: 24 coins.
