Description

Near-complete set (132 of 135) of 1952 Topps "Look 'n See," one of the classics of early 1950s nonsport card issues and one of the earliest of all Topps sets. Missing the following three cards for completion: #15 Babe Ruth, 29, and 45 Earhart. "Look 'n See" is one of the most highly regarded and collected of all postwar sets. This was an extremely ambitious concept for a set, with a strong historical and educational content. The card fronts feature full-color portraits of famous people from all eras and areas of history. Any kid collecting and studying this set could not help but learn about and develop a greater interest in world history. Condition is 28% Vg-Ex to Ex, 44% Gd to Vg, and 28% Pr to Fr. Keys: #30 Lindbergh (5/95 T/B, otherwise Vg-Ex), 44 Cleopatra (Vg), 82 Rembrandt (Pr), and 104 Queen Elizabeth II (Pr). This classic and always very popular nonsport set is filled with many great historical figures. Total: 132 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
