Lot # 4643: 1969 Topps "Man On The Moon" Near-Complete Set (54/55)

Presented is an outstanding high-grade near-complete set (minus one) of "Man on the Moon" trading cards consisting of fifty-four different cards (out of 55 in the set) from this popular nonsport set issued by Topps at the height of excitement generated by space exploration. The front of each card features a brilliant color photograph capturing some facet of the space program during the 1960s, ranging from test missions and simulations to actual images from space as seen by orbiting crews. The final card in the set is dedicated to the crew of Apollo 11, who would become the first men on the moon on July 20, 1969. Missing #46 for completion, includes one duplicate #48. Condition is 34% Ex to Ex-Mt (including one Nr/Mt), 53% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 13% Gd (including card #1 and a few lesser). Total: 55 cards (near set of 54 plus one duplicate).
