Presented is one of vintage card collecting's most recognizable icons and the key card of the 1911 Turkey Red Tobacco cabinet card series: Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb. Besides being the most valuable card in the set, it is also one of the most desirable and striking of all Cobb cards. The offered card exhibits beautiful colors and a crisp image of Cobb. Graded POOR 1 by BVG, flaws include a tack hole along the top border, a missing top-left corner, creasing, and multiple spots of paper loss along the checklist back (with offer). The classic Turkey Red set is considered by many to be the most beautiful and well-made tobacco set ever issued. The T3 Ty Cobb has always been and will always be in high demand, especially a relatively affordable example such as this.
