Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Magnificent high-grade example of New York Giants Hall of Famer Willie Mays from the classic 1954 Topps set. This well-centered card displays a particularly bright, bold yellow background and strong corners. Clean reverse. 1954 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including print defects (only a tiny mark on Mays' elbow is present here) and a tendency to have soft corners, which make high-grade examples such as this particularly difficult to find. This is a beautiful high-grade example of one of the key cards of the 1950s.
