Description

Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of Babe Ruth from the W575-2 strip-card series. Originally issued in strips, these cards (and almost all strip-cards) are often found with irregularly cut borders as they were cut by hand from the strips, as intended. Only ideally cut examples (like the offered example) are awarded numerical grades by SGC (and PSA). The offered card is bright and crisp with honest corner wear. A few small creases and a tape stain on the reverse are largely responsible for the assigned grade. This is a very desirable example of one of Babe Ruth's most classic 1920s strip cards and one that would be an outstanding addition to any Babe Ruth, strip-card, or prewar-card collection.
