Description

Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by PSA. Very attractive mid-grade example of this classic Lou Gehrig card. This is one of Gehrig's rarest 1930s cards and one of the key cards to the U.S. Caramel set. The 1932 multisport set produced by U.S. Caramel is considerably rarer than Goudeys and most other 1930s sets and has long been recognized as among the most desirable issues of the era. With their distinctive red backgrounds, they are also widely regarded as one of the most striking of all baseball card issues. The offered card displays a brilliant red background, outstanding registration, and moderate corner wear. Clean reverse with bold black text. The R328 is one of Gehrig's most popular and desirable cards and one of the most famous and majestic cards in the collecting world. The R328 Gehrig is also far rarer than Gehrig's 1933 Goudey counterparts. This is a strong example of one of Gehrig's most classic cards.
