Lot # 29: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Ray Demmitt St. Louis Variation SGC GOOD 30

Graded GOOD 30 by SGC. Appealing example of the rare T206 Ray Demmitt card, St. Louis Browns, variation. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this variation, thus no doubt contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, thus most Demmitts have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining. This example has bold colors, outstanding registration, and moderate corner wear. The Polar Bear reverse is boldly printed. A vertical crease along the lower portion of the card contributes to the assigned grade.
