Graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA, with none higher, and one of only two examples they've evaluated to date (please note that the second example received a grade of EX-MT 6 but has a qualifier associated with the grade). Exceptional example of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the extremely rare 1921 Herpolsheimer's Clothing set. This offering is one of ten 1921 Herpolsheimer's Clothing cards that appear in this auction. REA has previously offered only three examples from this issue and this set and the first time since 2023. The Herpolsheimer's set is very similar in design to E121 American Caramel and related issues. This gorgeous example is bright and clean, both front and back, with strong corners (weaker bottom left). This is a world-class sample card of Ty Cobb from this extremely rare series.
