Lot # 2879: 1961 Bazooka Partial Set (22/36) Including Ed Mathews, Minnie Minoso, and Warren Spahn

Presented is a partial set of 1961 Bazooka consisting of twenty-two different cards, out of thirty-six in the set, plus four duplicates. Missing the following fourteen cards for completion: #2 Mantle, 5 Maris, 9, 13, 18, 19 Banks, 20 Kaline, 21, 23 Mays, 26 Drysdale, 27, 28, 31 F. Robinson, and 35. The following grades are without respect to the neatness of the cut on the box cards as professional grading companies require that all of the borders be present in order for a card to receive a numerical grade, and many of these cards would qualify only for "Authentic" because they are cut inside of, or too close to, the borders. Condition is 46% Nr/Mt, 16% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 38% Vg to Vg-Ex (including 15% lesser). Keys: #3 Santo (Vg-Ex), 7 Minoso (Vg-Ex), two 11 Mathews (Vg due to staining and Pr), 24 Mazeroski (Gd), and 29 Spahn (Nr/Mt). Duplicates (4): #10, 11 Mathews, 22, and 34. This is a very attractive partial set of these unusual, scarce, and underrated Bazooka Bubble Gum package-design cards. Total: 26 cards.
