Lot # 3048: 1966 Bazooka Partial Set (31/48) Including Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, and Don Drysdale

Presented is a partial set of 1966 Bazooka consisting of thirty-one different cards, out of forty-eight in the set, plus four duplicates. Missing the following seventeen cards for completion: #1 Koufax, 7 Mantle, 8, 11 Killebrew, 12, 15, 16 Mays, 21 Gibson, 22 Yastrzmeksi, 23, 32 F. Robinson, 34 B. Robinson, 38 Rose, 44, 45, 46 Kaline, and 48. The following grades are without respect to the neatness of the cut on the box cards as professional grading companies require that all of the borders be present in order for a card to receive a numerical grade, and many of these cards would qualify only for "Authentic" because they are cut inside of, or too close to, the borders. Condition is 23% Nr/Mt, 26% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 51% Vg to Vg-Ex (including 20% lesser due mostly to pencil on reverse). Keys: #14 McCovey (Vg-Ex), 26 Clemente (Pr due to marker and pen on reverse), 30 Aaron (pencil on reverse, otherwise Ex-Mt), two 31 Bunning (Nr/Mt and Ex), 39 Santo (Vg-Ex), and 42 Drysdale (Vg-Ex). Duplicates (4): #28, 29, 31 Bunning, and 47. This is a very attractive partial set of these unusual, scarce, and underrated Bazooka Bubble Gum package-design cards. Total: 35 cards.
