Description

Graded FAIR 1.5 by SGC. Modestly graded example of this classic tobacco card of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the T206 White Border series. Cobb's red-background portrait pose is one of the key cards in the set and one of the most recognizable of all prewar-era tobacco cards. This well-centered example displays a beautiful red background and a crisp image of Cobb. Flaws include rounded corners, a crease above Cobb's head, and ink notations along the Piedmont 350-460/25 advertising reverse.
