Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Extremely attractive example of one of Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams' most popular cards from the classic 1955 Topps series. The offered card has bright colors, a crisp image, and strong corners. Boldly printed reverse. The condition is all the more impressive as (being card #2 in the set) this card would naturally receive much more handling and wear than almost all other cards in the set. Though Williams broke into the Major Leagues all the way back in 1939, he was still in top form at the time of this card's issue (his 14th Major League season). Williams hit .356 in 1955, and the statistics on the reverse of the card show Williams hitting .345 the previous season. A fantastic high-grade example of 1955 Topps #2 Ted Williams.
