Graded POOR 1 by SGC. Presented is one of the six cards from the H804-6 trade cards issued by Forbes Co. of Boston. This set, issued in 1878, is colorfully illustrated with drawings of various baseball scenes and a one- or two-word identifier at top. H804-6 Forbes trade cards are of special significance as they are among the earliest of all baseball-related cards. The Forbes Company produced these cards for merchants to use as promotional advertising cards.
