Lot # 447: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Collection (63) Including El Principe De Gales, Polar Bear, and Sovereign Backs

Collection of 63 different cards from the classic T206 White Border series. Condition is 10% Gd to Vg (one slightly better) and 90% Pr to Fr (including three trimmed and three missing pieces). Keys: Dahlen/Brooklyn (Pr), Leifield/batting (Pr, Sovereign 350 back, name at top), Magee/portrait (trimmed, otherwise Gd), Spade (Fr, El Principe De Gales back), and Street/portrait (Pr). While certainly not in high grade, the collection is still very presentable, with only a few exceptions. All cards have a Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisement on their reverses except for nine Polar Bear, one El Principe De Gales, and fifteen Sovereign. T206s perhaps more so than any other vintage issue are extremely popular in all grades. This is an ideal collection of cards for the collector who wants real, authentic 1910-era tobacco cards but isn't interested in spending the fortune it would take to acquire them in significantly higher grade.
