Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Only one example grades higher out of more than 7,500 cards (gray and white backs) evaluated by PSA to date. Magnificent high-grade example of one of Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams' most popular cards.. The card boasts beautiful colors, excellent registration, sharp corners, and excellent centering. The white back is clean and boldly printed. Though Williams broke into the majors all the way back in 1939, when this card was issued during his seventeenth Major League season, he was still in top form. Williams hit .345 in 1956, and the statistics on the reverse of the card show Williams hitting .356 the previous season. An exceptionally attractive example worthy of any world-class 1956 Topps set.
