Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA (submitted by REA). One of only six examples graded at this level with just two higher. Extremely attractive example of Yogi Berra's rookie card from the scarce 1947 D323 Tip Top Bread set. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with strong corners with light wear. The reverse has bold black text. This is an outstanding example of the undisputed rookie card of Berra! Due to their method issue (one per loaf of bread), Tip Top Bread cards generally are not found in high grade. Berra went on to win three MVP awards and was named to 15 All-Star teams, but when this card was issued he was at the very beginning of his spectacular career, which included 14 World Series appearances and lasted well into the mid-1960s. This is a superb example of Berra's first card from this scarce regional set.
