Presented is a very attractive, mostly high-grade near-complete set (missing only #7 Charles Barkley) of Fleer's "comeback" issue, the first basketball set produced by Fleer since 1961. Fleer stopped producing basketball cards after 1961 while their powerhouse competitor Topps continued to rule the basketball-card market through the late 1960s until the mid 1980s. This set is loaded with superstars and rookie cards of future Hall of Famers, highlighted by the rookie card of Michael Jordan. Condition is 71% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including some Mint), 22% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 7% Vg to Vg-Ex (including three lesser). Keys: #1 Abdul-Jabbar (Nr/Mt-Mt), 9 Bird (Ex-Mt+), 26 Drexler RC (Gd+), 27 Dumars RC (Nr/Mt-Mt), 31 Erving (35/65 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), 32 Ewing RC (Gd), 53 Johnson (Nr/Mt-Mt+), 57 Jordan RC (PSA EX-MT 6), 68 K. Malone RC (30/70 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), 77 Mullin RC (75/25 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt), 82 Olajuwon RC (Nr/Mt-Mt), 109 Thomas RC (Ex), 121 D. Wilkins RC (Nr/Mt), 131 Worthy RC (35/65 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), and 132 Checklist (Ex). An impressive near-complete set (minus one card) of this classic basketball issue, highlighted by a very attractive example of Michael Jordan's rookie card. Total: 131 cards.
