Collection of twenty-eight (twenty-six different) caramel and strip cards from five different classic issues spanning the years 1921 to 1923. The grouping is highlighted by five Hall of Famers, including Ray Schalk and Zach Wheat. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1921 E121 American Caramel "Series of 80" (2 cards): Shea (Fr) and Toney (Pr-Fr). 2) 1921-1923 E220 National Caramel (5 cards): Austin (trimmed, otherwise Pr-Fr), Kopf (trimmed, otherwise Gd), Olson (Fr), Rapp (Fr), and Shang (trimmed, otherwise Pr-Fr). 3) 1922 W573 (19 cards): Condition ranges from Pr to Vg (averaging Fr-Gd). Most cards are hand cut a bit small and/or tapered. Includes: Bancroft (Vg, HOF), Bigbee, Boeckel, two P. Collins, Devormer, Groh (cut very small), Heilmann (Gd, HOF), two Hollocher, Leverette, McManus, E. Miller, O'Neil, Schalk (Fr, HOF), Schang, Schmidt, Sewell (Gd, HOF), and Wheat (Fr, HOF). 4) 1922 W575-1 (1 card): Vitt (Fr-Gd). 5) 1922 E120 American Caramel "Series of 240" (1 card): Tobin (Fr). This is a very presentable medium- to lower-grade collection of pre-war cards from five of the era's most popular and classic sets. Total: 28 cards.
