Presented is a very attractive medium-grade complete set of R327 Diamond Stars. This classic 1930s gum-card issue is highlighted by 33 Hall of Famers and includes all 12 of the rare high-number series cards (#97 thru 108), which have always made this issue so difficult to complete. Condition is 45% Vg-Ex to Ex (approximately two-thirds Vg-Ex), 46% Gd to Vg, and 9% lesser (including two with a slight trim and a couple that measure small). We have selected six cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 Grove (VG 3), 2 Simmons (Vg), 3 Maranville (Vg+), 9 Cochrane (Vg+), 11 Dickey (Vg), 14 Terry (Vg), 16 L. Waner (slight trim, otherwise Gd), 17 Frisch (Vg), 18 Hafey (Gd), 27 Traynor (Ex), 28 Lopez (Vg), 29 Rolfe (Ex), 30 Manush (Vg), 31 Cuyler (Gd+), 32 Rice (Vg-Ex), 35 Averill (Ex), 36a "Earnie" Lombardi (Fr-Gd), 39 Hubbell (EX 5), 43 Lyons (Vg-Ex), 44 Hornsby (EX 5), 48 Ferrell (measures a bit small, otherwise Vg-Ex+), 50 Ott (VG-EX 4), 54b Greenberg (VG-EX 4), 59 Bottomley (tiny ink mark on bottom-right corner, otherwise Ex-Mt), 60 Ruffing (Vg-Ex), 64 Foxx (GOOD+ 2.5), 66 Medwick (Vg), 74 Lazzeri (Vg), 77 Gehringer (Vg), 83 Waner (Vg), 91 Harris (Vg-Ex), 95 Appling (Gd), 97 Lopez (slight trim, otherwise Gd+), 99 Traynor (Vg-Ex), 100 Averill (Vg), 103 Dickey (Vg+), 104 Rolfe (Vg), 105 Lombardi (Gd+), and 108 Berger (Vg). This is a very sharp-looking complete set of one of the 1930s' most popular issues. Total: 108 cards.
