Lot # 3026: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Ty Cobb Portrait Red Background SGC GOOD 2

Graded GOOD 2 by SGC (submitted by REA). Attractive mid-grade example of this classic tobacco card of Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the popular T206 White Border series. Cobb's red-background portrait pose is one of the key cards in the set and one of the most recognizable of all prewar-era tobacco cards. This example displays a bright red background, crisp image, light corner wear, and centering toward the right. The Piedmont 350-460 advertising reverse is boldly printed. Spots of surface wear on the reverse largely account for the assigned grade. This is a pleasing example of one of the key cards from the premier tobacco issue of the 1910 era.
