Description

The 1933 Goudey set is the most popular and collected of all 1930s gum issues and one of the most significant of all prewar baseball-card issues. This mostly mid-grade near-complete set (233 of the 240 cards) is highlighted by 59 Hall of Famers, including Tris Speaker, Jimmie Foxx, Mel Ott, Dizzy Dean, Bill Dickey, and Lefty Grove. The set is missing only the following seven cards for completion: #53 Ruth, 92 Gehrig, 106 Lajoie, 144 Ruth, 149 Ruth, 160 Gehrig, and 181 Ruth. Condition is 7% Ex, 86% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 7% lesser. We have selected six cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC.
