Offered is a partial set of thirty-three different cards (out of forty-eight) from the 1948 Bowman series, the first baseball-card set issued by Bowman Gum. This collection is highlighted by several key cards, including Bob Feller and rookie cards of Phil Rizzuto and Ralph Kiner. Missing the following fifteen cards for completion: #6 Berra, 18 Spahn, 36 Musial, 37, 38 Schoendienst, 39, 40 Marion, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 Sauer, 46, 47 Thomson, and 48. Condition is 21% Nr/Mt or slightly better, 54% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 25% Vg to Vg-Ex (including three lesser). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC.
