Description

Graded FAIR 1.5 by SGC. Modestly graded example of this classic tobacco card of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the T206 White Border series. Cobb's red-background portrait pose is one of the key cards in the set and one of the most recognizable of all prewar-era tobacco cards. This well-centered example displays a beautiful red background and a crisp image of Cobb. Flaws include slightly rounded corners, a few tiny chips of paper loss on Cobb's face, and an ink stamp on the Piedmont 350/25 advertising reverse.
