The rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, Gary Carter, and Jim Rice highlight the 1975 Topps Mini issue, one of the most popular and unusual sets of the 1970s. The 1975 Mini cards are 20% smaller than the standard Topps cards and were test marketed in Michigan, Ohio and the West Coast. Aside from their smaller size, they are otherwise identical to the standard 1975 Topps cards. The colored flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. Condition is 60% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 40% Ex to Ex-Mt (including 3% slightly lesser and 2% that measure small). Keys: #1 Aaron HL (Ex-Mt), 61 Winfield (slight tilt to picture, otherwise Nr/Mt), 70 Schmidt (Nr/Mt+), 150 Gibson (measures a bit small, otherwise Ex-Mt), 223 Yount RC (Ex-Mt+), 228 Brett RC (trimmed, otherwise Ex), 260 Bench (Ex due to centering), 320 Rose (Ex-Mt+ due to centering), 500 Ryan (Nr/Mt due to centering), 616 Rice RC (Ex-Mt), 620 Carter RC (Ex-Mt), 622 Lynn RC (Nr/Mt), 623 Hernandez RC (Ex), and 660 Aaron (Ex). This is an extremely attractive and mostly high-grade complete set loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1970s. Total: 660 cards.
