Lot # 8: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Sherry Magie Error PSA POOR 1

Classic example of the famous T206 Magie error card. Magie is one of the rarest T206 cards and — along with Plank, Wagner, and the rare Doyle — is usually one of the last cards required by collectors to complete the set. The Magie error card has been recognized as one of card collecting's great rarities since the days of Jefferson Burdick. (In fact, Burdick singled out the Magie as one of the significant T206 rarities in the original American Card Catalog.) The offered card has bold colors and outstanding registration. The reverse features an advertisement for Piedmont Cigarettes (150 Subjects, Factory No. 25). Graded POOR 1 by PSA due to creasing and paper loss on the front. Despite these flaws, this remains a presentable example of one of card collecting's most significant rarities.
