Graded VG 3 by PSA. Mid-grade example of the rare T206 Bill O'Hara card, St. Louis Browns variation. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this variation, no doubt contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, so most O'Haras have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining. This well-centered example displays brilliant colors, excellent registration, even corner wear, and scattered creasing. The Polar Bear reverse is boldly printed. It is interesting to note that a very small part of the nameplate "O'Hara, St. Louis" is visible along the top edge. Of course, it is the very fact that this card is miscut, with a portion of the name (and team designation) of the card above visible and providing insight into how the T206 set was printed, that will make this card particularly fascinating to many collectors. A very appealing example of one of the rarest and most condition-sensitive cards in the classic T206 White Border set.
