Description

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Superb high-grade example of the Contest (Rams/Lions and Giants/Browns, October 14) insert card from the 1956 Topps football set. This card advertised a contest program in which collectors could enter by guessing the correct results of two games on Sunday and sending in one bubble-gum wrapper. It was rare for a youngster to intentionally save this card at all as it did not feature a player from the 1956 Topps series. The fact that this example has survived in such high grade is all the more remarkable. Bright, crisp, and clean, front and back, with bold colors and strong corners. This card has always been a special challenge for a serious Topps completest. An outstanding addition to any complete master set of 1956 Topps football cards.
