Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Very attractive mid-grade example of this classic tobacco card featuring Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb with an uncommon and desirable Sovereign 350 Cigarettes back. Sovereign advertising backs are seen less often than Sweet Caporals and Piedmonts. The Cobb portrait, red background pose, is one of the key cards in the set and one of the most recognizable cards in the T206 series. This example has a brilliant red background, outstanding registration, and honest corner wear. The important advertising reverse is boldly printed. A pair of wrinkles (above Cobb's head and along the lower portion of his jersey) are noted for accuracy.
