Lot # 15: 1933 R338 Sport Kings #1 Ty Cobb PSA EX 5

Graded EX 5 by PSA. Tremendous example of one of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb's most sought-after cards. The offered card has a bright yellow background, outstanding registration, and strong corners with light touches of wear at the tips. Downgraded largely due to a small surface indentation above the "M" in "RAYMOND" on the reverse. The Sport Kings is one of Cobb's most popular and majestic cards. Being the No. 1 card in the set, this card gravitated to the top of a stack, exposing it to extra wear and handling and making high-grade examples even more difficult to find than most other Sport Kings and other Cobb cards. This is an outstanding mid-grade example of one of Cobb's classic cards.
