Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA (submitted by REA). Outstanding, newly-discovered example of Hall of Famer Walter Johnson (Washington Senators) from the T204 Ramly set, one of the most popular of all 1910-era tobacco issues. This card is part of an exciting, fresh-to-the-hobby find of T204 Ramly cards that were saved by the family of the original owner who lived in the New England area, all consigned to REA's Spring 2026 and future auctions. This is one of tobacco-card collecting's classics. One of Johnson's rarest cards, it is also the key card from the Ramly Tobacco set. Ramlys, which are highly prized among collectors for their distinctive style and rarity, are among the most condition-sensitive sets in existence, with fragile gold borders easily susceptible to chipping. The offered example has a striking portrait image, minimal chipping to the gold borders, and even corner wear. The reverse is clean with bold black print. This is an exceptionally attractive example, offered in a much higher grade than normally encountered, of the key card from one of tobacco-card collecting's most highly respected and beautifully designed sets. This card would be a significant highlight in a world-class T204 Ramly, Walter Johnson, or classic-card collection.
