Description

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Extremely rare example of the legendary Paul Schaal rarity from the 1967 Dexter Press set. This is one of only seven examples reviewed by PSA. The California Angels were originally considered for one of the teams to have players appear in the set, but only one player actually had his picture taken for this set (reportedly as a personal favor) - Paul Schaal. Apparently, Schaal wanted the cards to give to friends and family, and as seen by the rarity of this card, the story is likely true. It is the only California Angels card issued in this set, and it may have also been used as a salesman's sample.
