Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Only two examples have been graded higher by PSA to date. Stunning example of Philadelphia Phillies Hall of Famer Grover Alexander from the classic 1915 Cracker Jack series. This has always been one of Alexander’s most striking and popular cards. The offered card boasts a particularly vibrant red background, clean white borders, strong corners, and excellent centering. The reverse is also exceptionally bright and clean with crisp, bold black text. This card obviously originates from an original "factory set" obtained by mail directly from the company as it is entirely absent of any hints of the caramel staining so frequently encountered with these cards. Cracker Jacks are universally recognized as one of the most highly prized and widely collected of all prewar sets. This is a particularly extraordinary high-grade 1915 Cracker Jack example of Grover Alexander, one of baseball's greatest pitchers, from one of card collecting's most classic and popular sets.
