Description

The rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, Gary Carter, and Jim Rice highlight the 1975 Topps issue, one of the most popular and unusual sets of the 1970s. The colored flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. Condition is 50% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 44% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 6% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple with a slight miscut). Twenty-seven cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. PSA Grading Composite: NM-MT+ 8.5 (1 card): #56. NM-MT 8 (11 cards): #115, 127, 133, 139, 141, 150 Gibson, 204 F. Robinson/Clemente MVPs, 259, 305, 616 Rice RC, and 628. NM 7 (10 cards): #5 Ryan HL, 70 Schmidt, 80 Fisk, 104, 175, 184, 280 Yastrzemski, 564, 583, and 623 Hernandez RC. EX-MT 6 (4 cards): #30 Blyleven, 223 Yount RC, 228 Brett RC, and 660 Aaron. EX 5 (1 card): #320 Rose. Unencapsulated Keys: #1 Aaron HL (Ex), 61 Winfield (Vg+), 260 Bench (Ex-Mt), 500 Ryan (Ex due to centering), 620 Carter RC (Nr/Mt), and 622 Lynn RC (Ex-Mt). This is a very attractive mid- to high-grade set loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1970s. Total: 660 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
